Terms of use
These terms cover your account, what you post, and the Premium subscription. The app binary itself is licensed to you under Apple's standard EULA, which takes precedence for anything to do with the software.

Chaptify is operated by Chaptify LLC. By creating an account or using the app or this website, you agree to what follows. If you do not, the remedy is straightforward: do not use it.
The app is licensed under Apple’s EULA
Chaptify is distributed through the App Store under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. That agreement governs your licence to the software. These terms cover the parts it does not: your account, the content you create, and the subscription. Where the two conflict about the software itself, Apple’s agreement wins.
Your account
You need an account to use Chaptify, you are responsible for what happens under it, and you must be 13 or older to have one. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has them.
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. We can suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, and we will tell you why unless telling you would defeat the point.
What you post
Your reviews, ratings, notes, highlights, shelves, and feed activity are yours. You keep ownership of them. You give us the permission we need to store them, sync them between your devices, and show them to the people you have chosen to show them to. That permission ends when you delete the content or the account.
Do not post anything that:
- is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or a threat to somebody
- infringes somebody else’s copyright, including reproducing substantial portions of a book rather than quoting from it
- impersonates another person, or misrepresents your connection to one
- is spam, or exists to advertise something
We can remove content that breaks these rules. We are not obliged to monitor everything posted, and we do not endorse it by hosting it.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on Chaptify infringes your copyright, email contact@chaptify.net with enough detail to identify the work and the material you are complaining about, and we will deal with it.
Chaptify Premium
Chaptify is free to use, with no limit on how many books you track. Premium is an optional in-app purchase, sold by Apple at $4.99 per month or $44.99 per year, as listed on the App Store.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You cancel and manage them in your Apple account settings, not here, and Apple handles billing and refunds under its own policies. If we change what Premium costs or includes, we will tell you before it affects a renewal.
What we do not promise
Chaptify is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that book information from third-party sources is always correct. To the extent the law allows, Chaptify LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do, and material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use Chaptify after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
